Cholesterol Control: Some Alternative Methods

The normal range of cholesterol in blood is less than 200mg. If it increases, it can be  dangerous  for your heart. People take statins to lower cholesterol levels, but many alternatives are there for treatment .But before taking this drug , you have to consult your doctor. You concentrate on your food for decreasing cholesterol but best thing is that you have to keep control on your weight, eat healthy, do exercise and give up smoking and alcohol. By the help of Niacin, you can control cholesterol level but it has side effects of muscle pain. Sterol esters can be combined with statin drugs for controlling cholesterol. Soluble fiber is helpful for lowering cholesterol but you have to eat vegetables and whole grains regularly. And actually it will work. You have to use soy as a low fat protein. Use red yeast rice because it contains natural form of statin .Garlic is another best food. You can use chromium, quercetin and lecithin but under the suggestions of doctor.
