Cholesterol and beef

If you want to include beef in your diet then you must know that lean beef is low in fat and therefore it can keep your heart healthy. Lean beef has fats just like white chicken meat. Studies indicate that lean red meat and white chicken meat are both quite effective in controlling cholesterol.
The best thing about beef is that it is also rich in zinc, copper, potassium, magnesium and phosphate. It also has high amounts of vitamin A and B vitamins. It is therefore an apt food and including it in your diet at least once in a week can keep the heart healthy. It has the capacity to lower the LDL cholesterol and increase the content of HDL cholesterol in the blood.

In one of the researches carried out recently, it was seen that people who had borderline cholesterol and were on low dose statins managed to control their cholesterol levels with beef diet. However, one must also understand that staying active is also vital to keep heart healthy. It is studied that staying active at least 5 days a week and taking up exercises for 30 minutes almost every day can lower the cholesterol levels and keep the heart healthy.
